Choosing the Harmony Entertainer

So we first looked to this design because of the amount you get compared to price of other companies. A stressful time for visiting various other builders made us pretty happy with the quick decision we made based mainly on the noticeable difference in prices and the deal which was going at the time - (Upgrades for appliances, façade and inc. carpet and tiles) and because of the limited time we had to agree to get the deals..

This is what we chose - after reading tonnes of blogs as well as what felt like hundreds of visits to display homes.

We had the home flipped so the entertainment section was on the left size because of the North facing aspect of the land.

Moved and changed some windows to best accommodate sun/ furniture. Family room/kitchen windows are different from initial plan.

Extended the kitchen bench to the wall - Widened the area between the kitchen bench to allow for more movement.

Changed sink position.

Extended the fridge area

Added above fridge cabinets - only for appearance value (be sure to measure your fridge height)

Added half a metre to the garage to fit our larger car

Changed 2x single garage doors to a double

Changed the garage house access door to be sliding/ and added a door to access the back yard.

Changed media doors to a larger size

Extended all wardrobes

My notes for next build - Ceiling heights/ wall entries, kitchen cabinets - increase heights,  manhole location, heating/cooling locations, ask for knobs on wardrobes to be left off, sliding doors to media, ask for location of downpipes - not positioned at entry door..

How it fits on the land

We have the house aligned on the right side, close to the retaining wall.

Hopefully we will have side access to the back yard.
